Blank Beats on the beach
Canard represented the Blank Beats Music team on one of the biggest stages at Hungary's biggest electronic music festival not just once, but twice this year. His beats floated on the euphoria of the international crowd, right over the crystal clear waters of Central Europe's largest lake.
“I’m very pleased that the promoters gave me the opportunity to play the two most important sets," said Canard. "Playing the Saturday night peak-time slot was amazing. It felt so good to play for the great international crowd. I saw so many flags. The people have come from all around the world and I think it just makes it even better."
Now in its tenth year and boasting ten stages, Balaton Sound has grown from 32,000 to 180,000 visitors. It was named as the best medium-sized festival in Europe in 2012, increasing its international recognition and popularity. Music lovers from Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands joined the festival-goers from Hungary and its neighbouring countries to create an unbelievable vibe.
"On Sunday I had the chance to close the festival," continued Canard. "What an honour! When you see the crowd smiling at the sunrise lighting up the lake, and the stage is just rocking - that is something that you just have to experience and be a part of. I’m already looking forward to playing here again next year with the BBM team."
As well as Canard's set, we really enjoyed the sets of the following artists:
